What does institutional licensing give a program that students can't get for free? ▾
Everything institutional is about the program, not the individual student. Faculty dashboards, cohort analytics, ACGME/LCME exports, LMS integration, custom case authoring, and student roster management — none of these exist in free individual access. A student sees their own data. An institution sees patterns across 200 students and brings that evidence to an accreditation site visit.
What's the difference between the simulation and the Virtual EMR? ▾
The simulation engine is a guided conversation with Dr. Patel — you type your reasoning and he coaches you Socratically through a 10-phase case. The Virtual EMR is a full chart environment with labs, imaging, vitals, and a documentation workspace — more like working through an actual patient chart. Both use the same cases; the EMR adds the structured chart context. Many students use both for the same case.
Can I use ReasonDx to prep for boards and shelf exams? ▾
Yes — the case library covers all major specialties tested on USMLE Steps 1–3, COMLEX, shelf exams, and equivalent licensing exams across health professions (NAPLEX, NPTE, NBCOT, INBDE, NCLEX). Cases are built around the same clinical presentations you'll see on exams, and reasoning feedback explicitly addresses diagnostic accuracy and management. The Daily Puzzle is specifically designed for quick high-yield review.
I'm not a medical student — does ReasonDx work for other health professions? ▾
Yes. ReasonDx supports 11 health professions with profession-specific framing. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, pharmacy, PA, optometry, dentistry, nursing, and MBS students all have dedicated case arcs and coaching context tailored to their clinical reasoning frameworks. When you set your profession during onboarding, cases and CoachDx responses adapt to your scope of practice.
How is institutional pricing structured? ▾
Per-student annual licensing with volume tiers. Pricing scales with cohort size and modules included. Contact us for a custom quote — we'll scope based on your program type, size, and specific accreditation needs.
Can we pilot before committing? ▾
Yes. We offer a structured pilot — typically one course block with one cohort — before full rollout. The pilot includes full faculty dashboard access so you can evaluate the analytics before licensing.
How long does implementation take? ▾
Typically 1–3 business days for SSO configuration and LMS setup, followed by a live faculty onboarding session. Most programs are fully deployed within one week of signing.
What accreditation frameworks are supported? ▾
LCME (ED-6), ACGME milestones (all specialties), ARC-PA standards, AANP core competencies, and CCNE. Additional frameworks available on request. All exports are formatted for direct use in site visit documentation.
Is student data FERPA-compliant? ▾
Yes. Institutional accounts include a signed BAA/DPA, FERPA-compliant data handling, and student data is never used for any purpose outside the contracted institution's dashboard.
